The World Equestrian Games Aachen 2006 - Show Jumping saw the most astonishing display of horsemanship during the 5 days of competitions. 116 horses and riders took on the towering fences inside Aachen’s stadium in front of an enthralled capacity crowd.
The Netherlands dominated the team competition with some text book jumping that gave them a comfortable lead and team Gold. There were surprises along the way with some riders buckling under pressure of expectation.
The top 25 then went on to fight it out for individual glory.
The deciding test – unique to FEI World Equestrian Games – sees the best four riders tackle the final course on each of their competitors’ horses. Outstanding performances made it almost impossible to separate them. But Belgium’s Jos Lansink finally proved his superiority to win gold.
This DVD contains the highlights of both the team and individual competitions, plus interviews with the winners. Expert commentary from Steven Hadley.
