The FEI World Cup Finals 2007 for Jumping was held in Las Vegas in April and was won by Beat Mandli of Switzerland, riding Ideo du Thot. Daniel Deusser of Germany placed second on Air Jordan Z. and Steve Guerdat of Switzerland on Tresor V and Markus Beerbaum of Germany on Leena tied for third.

 

Only four faults separated the top seven entering the final day’s competition. Steve Guerdat and Meredith Michaels-Beerbaum of Germany, were tied - but with only a one point lead until Michaels-Beerbaum was eliminated for a fall. The top ten riders all incurred faults in the first round with the exception of defending champion Marcus Ehning of Germany.

 

The FEI World Cup Jumping Final is an annual event which pits the world’s best show jumping horses and riders against one another. United States riders have won the championship seven times.
