From among his many experiences regarding the instruction of horses and riders in a lot of different countries, the Hungarian Kalman de Jurenak has developed his philosophy of Classical Schooling.

Part 1 – Basic Training of the Young Horse

The first part of the film shows the importance of correct basic training of horses in the basic paces to come to a deep and round way of going.

Part 2 – Training Up to the Level of Prix St. Georg

The second part of Classical Schooling underlines this in more detail and explains how to train horses up to Prix St. Georg level. It features possible problems and how to solve them to come to a harmonious performance of both horses and riders.

Kalman de Jurenak is a former Olympic coach for the Australian and New Zealand Olympic dressage and three-day event squads and the director of the German Hanoverian Verband auction horses and riders. He brings to his training a great compassion for horses with a tremendous emphasis on correct basics. He instills a desire to find ways to make the horses love and understand their work so they can "bring out the charm" in the competition movements.
